What She's Been Up To...
So 2019 was huge
The 50th Anniversary of the
Stonewall Riots in New York City made 2019
a phenomenal time for queer art and artists - I rode that wave in Philly with three amazing exhibitions, and I'm so grateful.

Queer Americans: Who We Are
Juried Group Show
William Way LGBT Community Center
July-August 2019
Working on this show was fantastic - I wanted to show my work in this space since the moment I moved to Philly.
It's really important to me that my work is seen by my community -

Queer Americans: Who We Are
STONEWALL @ 50
Juried Group Show
Pearlstein Gallery
Philadelphia, PA
June-July 2019
The Pearlstein Gallery is absolutley beautiful, and I was so lucky to be a part of such a powerful show - and to show my largest piece!
My large scale chalk pastel and charcoal drawing named "Uncle Sam" was completed in 2011 with my body of work exploring pin-up girl imagery and the concept of feminine power.
See more of that work here
Shout out to the curators,
Janus Ourma and David Acosta!
I was also very proud to have my flyer for the Philly Dyke March next to the show flyer for Stonewall @ 50 in the official Philly Pride Guide for 2019
See below for a video of my discovery of this in Tabu, one of my
favorite gay bars in Philly during Pride!
Of course I had to keep it..

LGBTQIA+ Artists Celebrate Stonewall at 50
Juried Group Show
Off The Wall Gallery
Dirty Frank's
Philadelphia, PA
June-August 2019
I was so honored to be a part of this show with so many fantastic queer artists in Philadelphia - this community space really created a great vibe for their Stonewall 50th anniversary show!
I showed my painting of Felicity and Perpetua, who are reported to be 2nd-3rd century African patron saints of same-sex couples.
Acrylic on wood panel, 2019.
Shout out to @heatherraquel,
who is a super fierce artist who was also in this show, and who
took this badass picture of me with her dogs.
